Training
WWM offers training for those developing and those managing work with
boys, men and fathers. Our training is also relevant to those involved in
policy development.
We offer a broad range of training courses. Recent training days and
workshops have covered the following areas: targeting and engaging boys
and young men; masculinity; what works with fathers; developing a sexual
health strategy targeting young men; public health strategies; fathers’
involvement in Children’s Centres; boys’ underachievement; managing work
and young men; self esteem; and meeting the educational needs of African
Caribbean boys.
We have standard one-day and two-day courses which can be adapted, and
we can develop a programme from scratch, depending on the needs and
requirements of the agencies and professionals we work with.
Some comments from practitioners who have attended WWM Training:

What next?
If you are interested, you will need to know that our daily rate for one trainer is at least £525.00, plus any travel and accommodation costs. Days usually run from 10am to 4pm. The courses can be for up to 16 participants (per trainer), so for a day long course, relatively near one of our trainers, will cost you about £30 per person (for a course of 16). This would be about a quarter of the cost to send people on a standard course organized by ourselves, so if you have a number of people, this is a much more economic option for you.
