The Pack aims to provide opportunities for young men to reflect, discuss and develop their own views of fatherhood, help young men consider their own experience of being fathered, help young men assess and develop their skills as potential fathers. The pack contains: a board game and dice game and 26 curriculum based exercises for use in the classroom and other settings.

Fatherhood is a Serious Business Posters - £12.00

Boys, Literacy and their Fathers Posters - £11.00
A set of four A2 posters about literacy and fathers’ involvement. So for example one of the posters has text that reads: "When I read with my dad he closes his eyes it makes me angry I want him to listen" (aged 7). Research has shown that the more fathers are involved, the better their sons read. READ WITH YOUR SON

Young Dads Posters - £12.50
Young fathers are too often invisible and when they are seen they are often thought to be irresponsible, feckless and immature. While some may fit this description, many others do not. This set of four A2 full colour posters show young fathers engaging positively with their children. The text ‘it isn’t your age, it is what you do that counts’, aims to counter the view that being young will in itself stop you from being a good father. Price is per set of four.

Fathers, Work and Family Life Book - £10.95 By J Warin, Y Solomon, C Lewis and W Langford
This report is based on interviews with families in Rochdale and concentrates on the connections and tensions between work and family life. At a time when increasingly more families are moving away from male bread winning, this report reflects the issues that families are having to address day-to-day as work and family roles change and adapt.

Fathers, Marriage and the Law Book - £10.95 By Ros Pickford
This report looks at legal powers of parents in respect of their children and particularly those of married and unmarried fathers. One in five babies in the UK are born to unmarried couples, and with unmarried fathers not having legal powers, these interviews highlight the lack of knowledge and understanding fathers have of their legal position. An essential read for those advising fathers and supporting them at a time of family breakdown.

What Works with Fathers? Book - £9.50 By Trefor Lloyd

Young Fathers Booklet - 60p (P&P not included)
This booklet is aimed at new and expectant young fathers and provides some basic information to prepare them for fatherhood and also directs them to further information. It encourages inclusion of young fathers (especially in pre and post natal care) and highlights some of the many changes that fatherhood will bring to them and their family.

Expectant Fathers Booklet - 60p (P&P not included)
This booklet aims to highlight some of the many changes that fatherhood will bring to you and your family and will help you think about what being a father will involve. Most fathers have told us that while they recognised they needed to know and understand new things about becoming a father, they didn’t want to ask because they didn’t want to appear stupid and often wanted to find out information without asking anyone.
