or call Marie on 0207 237 5353. This is a careers book targeted at 14-16 year olds, with the basic message of, "go for a career as a footballer, but make sure you have a plan B". We know that clubs are particularly aware of the numbers of players in academies and centres of excellence who will not make the professional ranks and the plan B message cannot be reinforced enough. While targeted at 14-16 year olds, this booklet will also give parents of younger players an understanding of the way a career in football may work for their son, whether he becomes a footballer or not. Parenting Sons 5-11 Year Olds (a brief guide) has been written to accompany our Raising Boys courses which are targeted at single mothers. This booklet aims to provide mothers with ideas and ways to support their sons and covers areas such as boundaries, discipline, risk-taking, role modeling and becoming a man. This is the second of a series of raising boys booklets, the next will be targeted at parents of 11-16 year olds. Please sign-up here if you want to hear about these when available.

This DVD has been produced with two uses in mind: For professionals who are running courses for expectant fathers, and To give to expectant fathers to view at home / on their own.
Content shows fathers picking up, cleaning, changing nappies and bathing babies; bonding with their babies; how important fathers are and lastly fathers' role during pregnancy and the birth. To get away from the traditional soft focussed images and a genteel approach, which many fathers see as targeted at expectant mothers, humour and straight talking are to the fore, especially through the DVD’s compere Maxwell (a four month old baby with attitude). This interactive resource has been developed to aid professionals working with young men in particular but also young women. It addresses issues of conflict between two friends and looks at ways they resolve their issues. The DVD is designed to provoke discussion in a group and has questions along the way to encourage a variety of related topics. It is an interactive DVD so the viewers get to choose the actions the characters play out, this way the consequences of different types of behaviour can be seen and evaluated. It is an aid to encourage young people to think about their actions in terms of conflict and make informed decisions. The Interpersonal DVDThis DVD and exercises have been produced to engage young people (but particularly young men) in conversations about relationships. While the focus is on ‘chat-up’ this is meant to be a route into talking about relationships. Within the DVD scenes you will see acted out issues around power, communication, humour, body language and tone. We have produced the DVD because many of these subtleties are better seen than discussed. Remember, this is meant to provoke discussion, not a DVD just to be watched. Knives - What's the Point PostersA set of 4 A2 posters, with the slogan, 'Knives, what's the point'. These posters have been designed to make young people think about the consequences of knife crime. The Extra Large Guide to Sex and Relationships for Young Men A sexual health guide for young men to help young men stay safe, be responsible, know when they are really ready for it, make choices about what is right for them and enjoy themselves.
